Bitossi Sahara lamp

Just into the workshop, this vintage Bitossi "Sahara" table lamp is a standout piece of Italian pottery, created by renowned designer Aldo Londi during the 1960s and 70s. Its richly glazed surface in deep, earthy browns is accented by textured horizontal banding, part of Bitossi’s much-loved Sahara collection.
 
The ceramic base is bold yet balanced, blending rustic charm with a strong modernist sensibility. Londi’s design language shines through in its sculptural form and striking presence. The lamp is currently being rewired and will soon be paired with a shade that complements its distinctive character.
