Operating out of the Tollcross area of Glasgow from 1911 until the late 1970s, the Govancroft Potteries were renowned for transitioning from traditional industrial stoneware jugs to expressive, decorative studio-style art pottery.
 
Crafted from durable stoneware, this bowl features Govancroft’s celebrated tactile speckled glaze. The warm, earthy body provides a perfect canvas for subtle tonal variations and flecks of contrast, creating an organic, stone-like finish that is deeply satisfying to both hold and display.
