Original tile frames
This listing includes two original tile frames, each featuring richly detailed early 20th-century ceramic work from the heart of Staffordshire tile-making heritage.
The Art Nouveau moulded tile by H.R. Johnson from 1910 (now sold) showcased the elegant flowing lines and botanical influence typical of the movement, encased in a tasteful wooden frame that highlighted its delicate relief.
Still available is the “Tree of Life” moulded tile by Mintons, also dated 1910. It features raised detailing in a classic symmetrical design, representing growth, renewal and nature’s continuity, hallmarks of Mintons’ craft legacy. Set in a handsome frame, this tile is ideal as a standalone decorative piece or part of a larger vintage interior theme.
A rare and evocative example of Staffordshire’s ceramic artistry.
