Love of Seven Dolls

A novel set in in post-war Paris, follows Mouche, an orphan who has lost her carnival job and is on the verge of suicide. She’s interrupted by a cheerful glove puppet named Carrot Top, who engages her in conversation and draws her away from the River Seine.
