Bonderup and Thorup pendant light

Designed by Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup for Fog & Mørup in the late 1960s, the iconic Semi pendant lamp is a milestone in Danish lighting history.
 
Conceived while the pair were still architecture students at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, the design won first prize in a competition hosted by Fog & Mørup and quickly became an international Mid-century icon.
 
Measuring a generous 47cm in width, this model showcases the design's signature sharp, arch-shaped silhouette, crafted from a single continuous geometric curve. The metallic shade is finished in a smooth matt black exterior, providing a crisp modern profile. Inside, the off-white interior amplifies and reflects illumination downward without glare, making it a spectacular focal piece over a dining table, desk, or kitchen island.
