Antique Carved Wooden Decorative Lamp

This antique wooden decorative lamp is a striking 19th century piece with a sculptural presence more commonly seen in plaster examples of the period. Its carved form has a graceful, classical quality, making it an unusual and beautiful survivor in wood.
 
The lamp is original antique with new Italian chocolate brown cable and floor switch finished with a black MK plug. The lamp fitting is a British made brass E27 bulb holder on a brass extension rod so the original base top detail is exposed. The shade is had made locally in a period subtle paisley print  60cm wide. Height is 192cm
