Annapurna by Maurice Herzog
Annapurna by Maurice Herzog, Book Society Edition (1952), is a landmark account of the first successful ascent of an 8,000-metre peak.
This edition features 288 pages bound in blue cloth with silver titles on the spine, complete with photographic plates and a fold-out map that brings the expedition vividly to life. The pages remain in excellent condition, while the original photographic dust jacket shows expected age wear with rips and tears.
It's a highly collectable volume and a cornerstone of mountaineering literature.
